Motif8 is located in Stockton, North Yorkshire, just off the A66 between Darlington and Middlesbrough and within easy reach of the A19 and A1.
All of our design work, printing and embroidery are done in-house using the latest technology. We’ve invested in the best multi-head embroidery machines and in the latest technology of automatic screen printing facilities. Also we can produce multi-coloured transfers, stickers, and vinyl banners, embroidered badges (including zap badges for the military). We provide sublimation printing (mugs, key rings, mouse mats etc) and well as the latest technology of heat pressing.
Embroidery
Embroidery gives a quality, durable finish and can be applied to almost any garment. No minimum orders and free set up on orders of 25 garments or more.
Embroidery will normally outlast any garment onto which it is applied. Recent advances in embroidery software mean that design and set up costs are low. The image is digitised using specialist software in our own design studio. Digitising is the conversion of a flat image into stitches. This format is recognised by the embroidery machine and the logo is then embroidered in a single process.
The new generation of industrial, multi-head embroidery machines run quickly with any number of colours being applied in a single operation.
At Motif8 we pride ourselves with the quality of our finished embroidered garments and will always go that extra mile to ensure that the finished garment is of a very high standard.
Minimum Orders
There are NO minimum orders!
Set-up costs on embroidery
We do not charge origination costs on embroidery for orders of 25 garments and above.
Under 25 garments, there is a setting-up cost of £25.00 for an average size logo. This is a one-off charge and not charged on repeat orders.
Screen Printing
Printing involves the application of colour by ink. The image has to be separated into the different component colours. Each colour is then printed onto a special film, which is then exposed onto a separate silk screen (one for each colour).
The colours are applied individually to each screen and the printer is programmed so that the carousel rotates and the screens come down individually over the garment and prints each colour in turn.
Screen printing compared to embroidery
Good for large areas.
Low cost for larger quantities.
Not economical for small orders, See transfer and CAD cut printing.
Digital Tranfers
This involves taking a high resolution image and printing the image using a digital transfer system onto transfer vinyl, producing high quality, full colour garment transfers.
The quality of the image is directly related to the quality of the image supplied
Transfer printing is a fast way of producing small quantities and even one-off transfers.
CAD printing
This is used for applying individual names and numbers onto garments.
Ideal for smaller runs and for using different effects such as flock and metallic.
