Chris served 22 years with the Royal Corps of Signals and Sian served 7 years with the Intelligence Corps.  During the last 3 years of Chris’s career he saw an opening in the logo leisurewear industry and he was approached by a director of a predominately school wear company with the opportunity to purchasing that company.  This became Chris and Sian’s goal and during the remainder of Chris’s Army career they focused on their new career in “Civvy Street”.

Chris and Sian bought their business in April 2003 and set upon establishing themselves in the embroidery business.  In 2006 they decided on a name change for the company to a more modern and forward-thinking name and one that better describes the company, hence Motif8 Embroidery & Print Ltd was born!

Four years on and Motif8 has expanded into 4 main sectors: motif8 school wear, motif8 military, motif8 sports & leisurewear and motif8 corporate & work wear.
